Valentine's Day Gift Guide 2016 | Pretty in Pink

1. S'well Water Bottle - I have one of these and they're great. I got the 24oz and thought it would be perfect, but I think it's a little too big, I'd go for the 17oz.

2. Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour  - Chanel Polishes are some of my favorite and are a great luxury gift that wont break the bank. My favorite everyday pink shade is 167 Ballerina.

3. FujiFilm Instamix Mini - This is great for the girl who loves to document everything. Polaroid cameras have made a huge comeback in the past few years and this mini pink one is no exception.

4. Reflective Ray-Ban Aviators - My Ray-Ban aviators are my favorite sunglasses and the reflective version makes them even better.

5. Kate Spade Card Holder - Card holders are perfect for nights out when you don't have a huge purse to carry around your stuff. The scalloped edges on this make it so feminine and beautiful.

6. Jeffrey Campbell Atsuko Flats - This style flat has been all the rage. All the designers, even Forever21 have been coming out with a version, but these are my favorite.

7. M.A.C. Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour- M.A.C. came out with liquid lipsticks and my life became complete. This berry-pink is one of my favorites, its called 'To Matte With Love.'

8. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - Perfect for Valentine's day, and every other day. Urban Decay shadows are some of my favorite, end of story.

9. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb - I've mentioned this fragrance before and it's because it really is the best. I love it so much and think every girl would too.

10. White + Warren Cashmere Gloves - If you live anywhere cold, you know gloves in the winter are a must. I love these because they're cashmere, which is super warm, and they're a fun pop of color on a gloomy winter day.

11. Diptyque Rosaviola Candle - Diptyque candles are the best, I've mentioned them a bunch of times before in different gift guides, and they have this really cute pink rose scent for the holiday which makes it even better.

12. Chiara Ferragni iPhone Case - This phone case is so cute I might just get one for myself! The winking eyes make it the perfect mix between edgy and girly.

5 Last Minute Costume Ideas | Halloween 2015

Bubble Bath - All you need for this are white clothes, some balloons, and a rubber ducky. If you want to go the extra mile, add a hair towel and a loofa as a prop, or even make one of your friends dress up like a shower poof!

Deer - All you have to really do for this is find some twigs and hot glue them to a head band. Wear anything brown or tan, and have fun with the makeup! If you aren't that comfortable with makeup, you can find hundreds of tutorials online!

Skeleton - Wear all black and paint your face. This is my favorite because it doesn't need to be neat. Skeletons are naturally imperfect so you don't need to worry about being a pro.

Rosie the Riveter -  This costume is easy, and makes a political statement. All you need is a jean button down shirt, a red bandana, and some fierce guns (not the kind with bullets :D).

Risky Business - It doesn't get easier than this costume. Although it may not be ideal for all climates, all you need to do is borrow a friends white button down, throw on some socks, black shorts, and sunglasses and you're good to go.

Fall Favorites 2015 | Leather Jacket

This is the last installment of Fall Favorites this year and I wanted to go out with a bang! A leather jacket is an absolute must have in my book - they are timeless, edgy, chic, and most importantly warm. Check out some of my favorites for this season!

1. Noisy May Macy Short Leather Look Jacket -  This jacket is budget friendly and absolutely gorgeous. It's a classic piece that will never go out of style. I love the slimmer fit and think it would be perfect for everyday use. If you aren't into the biker style leather jackets, this would be perfect for you!  ($69)

2. BLANKNYC Faux Leather Jacket -  BLANKNYC is one of my favorite brands for inexpensive jackets that are really amazing quality. I love this one especially because it's a modern twist on a staple item. The powder blue is really fun, and if you're the kind of person who loves to add simple pops of color to your outfits without being too over the top, this would be the perfect piece.($98)

3. Forever 21 Faux Leather Moto Jacket - This color in particular really stole my heart, I might need to go out and buy it. Emerald green is one of my favorite colors to wear and if you have brown or hazel eyes it can really make them pop. This style is right up my alley and I think it's the perfect mixture of edgy and girly. Also, the price tag makes it beyond worth adding to your wardrobe. ($34.90)

4. J.Crew Collection Standing- Collar leather Jacket -  This bad boy is a serious splurge, but depending on your budget you may be totally cool with that. You're definitely paying for quality here. This jacket is genuine leather and I'm sure it's a piece you'd have for 10-15 years if you took care of it properly. The gold hardware and the detailing on the sleeves are my favorite things about this one.($495)

5. River Island Fringed Biker Jacket -  Fringe is in this season and in a big way. Everyone was doing it at fashion week and if you love following trends this would be the perfect way to do it. When it comes to "trendy" items, I don't think you should splurge, because they could very well be out of date next year. This inexpensive jacket gives you the freedom to be on trend and on budget. ($59)

6. New Look Petite Leather Look Biker Jacket -  I love the way that this particular jacket has an asymmetrical zipper. Sometimes with leather jackets the traditional middle zip can be unflattering, especially if you're smaller on top. Going for something with a more interesting cut, is also another way to venture into something a little trendier without compromising the classic appeal of the jacket. ($54)

Fall Favorites 2015 | Camel Colored Anything

Camel is one of my favorite colors and it's the perfect neutral for Fall. Adding camel pieces to your seasonal wardrobe is an easy way to freshen it up without allowing it to become outdated next year. Camel goes with just about anything, but I love it with black, navy and white.

1. Missguided Belted Waterfall Coat - I love camel coats, especially oversized ones. I have one that's similar to this Missguided one, except mine is a few years old and from Michael Kors. This reasonably priced coat could be your new Fall staple. It's perfect for day or night and can be easily dressed up or down. ($51)

2. Forever21 Suede Shirt Dress - Shirt dresses are super cute year round but the color and material of this one makes it perfect for Fall. I would style it differently then they did on the model - I wouldn't button it all the way, and I'd probably pair it with a chunky scarf and booties instead of the black hat. You could also wear it completely open with a pair of skinny jeans and a plain white tee. ($69.90)

3. Free People Whitehorse Mock Neck Sweater - I am obsessed with this piece, I think it's absolutely gorgeous and if it didn't come with such a hefty price tag I'd love it even more. Just like the shirt dress I'd style it differently - I'd wear it without a belt and probably pair it with dark skinny jeans, leather cigarette pants, or even leggings.  I'm a huge fan of chunky cowl necks and I think that's what makes this piece so appealing to me. ($128)

4. Madewell Transport Tote - This is the perfect every day bag, and you can really use it year round. It's a great size for work or school and is really good quality so you know you're making a worth while investment. If you aren't sold on the camel trend but want to try it out, this would be a good piece to get because it's timeless. ($168)

5. Zara Skinny Trousers With Zipped Hem  - Trousers are a great piece to have in your wardrobe in general, and these are no exception. Keeping with the camel trend, these are versatile and chic. You could again, dress these up or down and wear them at any time of day. These could even transition from Winter to Spring because they're a lighter wash.  ($49.90)

6. ASOS High Waist Longerline Pencil Skirt - This probably my favorite piece out of the bunch. I love a good pencil skirt and I can see this looking fabulous with a button-down long sleeve denim top tucked in and some cute pumps. You could even add a patterned clutch to make it a little more fun! ($40)

7. H&M Scarf - H&M, just like Forever21 is a great place to find inexpensive, on trend items. Adding a camel colored scarf to a look is a great way to make it Fall appropriate but also functional. A scarf can really pull together any look and is a personal favorite of mine when I need to look decent but don't want to put in too much effort. ($12.99)

Fall Favorites 2015 | Boots & Booties

I decided to start a mini-series about all my Fall favorites for this year! In my wardrobe, boots and booties are an absolute must. They can dress up or dress down any outfit and are seasonal yet timeless. Here are 5 boots/booties that I think are perfectly chic for this Fall.
1. Sorell Winter Fancy Lace II Waterproof Boot - These are a staple in my fall wardrobe, I love the fact that they're not only warm but water proof. They look like a duck boot, but have a modern twist on them with suede instead of leather. Most importantly they're super comfy! ($150)

2. Sperry's Liberty Bootie - I just ordered these last night and couldn't believe they were on sale for over half off! I've been on the hunt for a good black ankle bootie and fell in love with these the second I saw them. I love the braiding detail and think it gives these classic booties a unique flare. Grab them while you can!  ($55.95)

3. Hunter Original Gloss Boot Military Red - Pops of red are a huge trend this fall, whether it be in your  makeup, your shoes, or your clothing. I love these classic red rain boots to add a pop of color to an outfit while being girly and chic. Hunter boots are a cult classic and for good reason, they're amazing! ($150)

4. Chloé Suzanna Studded Ankle Boot - I have been lusting over these boots for two years and haven't mustered up the nerve to spend the money on them (to say they're a splurge is to put it mildly. I love the way the studs make these boots unique and sassy. They can be dressed up or down which makes then super versatile (in case that would help you justify the hefty price tag). If you're the kind of girl who loved to treat herself, I would say these are definitely a winner. ($1,345)

5. Michael Antonio Mayuri Boot - I love the distressed charcoal of this boot and I think it adds something an outfit that a regular lack bootie couldn't. Being open toe, this boot can really work for Fall in any climate. The chunky heel and split top also make then really flattering, allowing the openings to elongate the legs. ($39.99)

6. Steve Madden Intyce Boot - I've gone through two pairs of these boots. They are by far my favorite classic leather boots. They are the perfect shade of Chestnut and never go out of stile. I like the fact that they have a small wedge to give me an extra inch in height, not to mention the fact that they go well with everything. ($149.95)

7. Top Shop Harper Buckle Ankle Boot - It was love at first sight with this pair of booties for me. I love the color and the mixed materials AND the wrap around buckle. They manage to be contemporary and classic at the same time, all while being on trend. These are a perfect everyday bootie for the working girl. ($135)

3 Trends You Should Avoid | Summer 2015

The Straight Brow

While this may look amazing on the runway, anything that alters your appearance dramatically in leu of a trend is never a good idea. Eye brows are like the nipple of the face - if they aren't working, nothing is. Everyone's eye brows are a different shape, and they're already well suited to your face. I always recommended sticking with what works for you - don't feel like you need to change something about yourself just because magazines are telling you to. If you have a naturally straight brow, rock it - if you have a naturally arched brow - embrace it. Trends come and go, and the last thing you want is to be stuck with a pair of eye brows you hate for 6 months.

Shaved Head

This is another trend I recommend avoiding for similar reasons as the straight brow. First of all, I personally don't like the look of a shaved head, but I also think it's a HUGE commitment. While having the side of your head shaved might be all the rage right now, you have to realize it could take 5 years for your hair to grow back to the length you want it. If you don't have any emotional attachment to your hair and don't care about that, go for it - more power to you. But if you're looking at the shaved head as a temporary fashion statement, go for something a little less permanent like braiding one side back.

Overly Lined Lips

Kylie Jenner has turned the makeup industry upside down the past year with her famously over-lined lips (which she didn't only get with the help of a lip liner if you know what I'm saying). Overlinning your lips is like filing in your brows, a little bit can be fabulous, but too much can get out of hand. If you want to make your lips appear larger, overline the cupid's bow slightly. If you get too heavy handed, it goes from sexy to clownish in seconds. If you want a more permanently plump pout, any plumping lip gloss should give you a little something extra - OR you can go the Kylie route and get a little Juvederm. It is after all temporary, and if you like it, that's all that matters. As with most trends, moderation is key.

Wardrobe Staples | Summer 2015

Overalls

Overalls are making a comeback and in a big way. They're easy to wear, comfy, and surprisingly flattering. For summer, going for a pair of short overalls can take the hassle out of finding something comfortable and weather appropriate. Longer overalls are also great for chiller days or even nights.

Blank NYC Overalls $88
SIWY Denim Jessie Overalls $252
Forever21 Distressed Denim Overalls $35
Free People Boyfriend Shortfall $98
Paige Denim Patchwork Sierra Overalls $299

Birkenstocks

Birkenstocks have been around forever, but in the past few years they've become really popular again. Every designer has been coming out with their own version, and if the original isn't something you're in to there are plenty of other options. Birkenstocks are comfortable and easy to wear. They're durable and match almost anything.

Vince Orson Cris Cross Slides $195
Birkenstok Silver Gizeh Sandals $125
Dolce Vota Genivee Slides $120
Forever21 Nailhead Faux Leather Sandals $25
Miss Guided Flexi Double Strap Buckled Sandal $30

Mirrored Sunglasses
Mirrored Sunglasses are perfect for Summer. Not only do they protect your eyes, they're a great way to add a fun seasonal pop to your outfits. You can definitely find cheaper versions at stores like Forever21 or H&M but these are my top picks.

Marc Jacobs Mirrored Sunglasses $98
Ray Ban Mirrored Aviators $170
Le Specs Chesire Sunglasses  $69
Quay Australia Livnow Sunglasses $50
Wonderland Stateline Sunglasses $170

Fun Tops

Nothing says Summer to me like a fun top and cut off jean shorts. You can easily dress up your favorite summer t-shirts or tanks by putting on a nice pair of jeans and cute pumps, which makes these staple pieces both cute and functional.

Daydreamer Vintage Rolling Stones Tee $79
Eleven Paris Kate Moss Tank $48
Lauren Moshi Roxanne Peace Love Girl Vintage Muscle Tee $98
Miss Guided Cut Out Detail Crop Top $44
Milly Floral Printed Crop Top $295

Espadrilles With a Twist

Espadrilles SCREAM Summer, and recently different companies have been going the extra mile and making them not only comfortable but adorable. Fun patterns and graphics are an easy way to turn this classic into a great statement piece for the season.

Same Edelman Lynn Espadrille Flats $80
Soludos Neon Yellow Stripe Espadrilles  $43
Soludos Embroidered Pineapple Espadrilles $65
Love Moschino Espadrille Flats $140
Stuart Weitzman Espadrille Smoking Flats $298

Fashion Run Down | 2015 Met Gala

The 2015 Met Gala has come and gone once again. This year I was pleasantly surprised by how well dressed the majority of the attendees were. The theme was China: Through the Looking Glass, and apparently some celebrities had a difficult time distinguishing between China and Japan - kimonos were a popular choice. Red was HUGE on the carpet this year, as were green and blue.

Best Dressed

I had a really hard time narrowing it down to just fourteen, but tried to be relatively selective. In my personal opinion the Met Gala is an opportunity for celebrities to take fashion risks and be creative. While it isn't necessary, I give major props to the ones who do. These are in no particular order, I love each and every one so much.
From left to right:
Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan Atelier
Sarah Jessica Parker in H&M
Poppy Delevingne in Marchesa
Alexa Chung in Erdem
Rose Byrne in Calvin Kelin Collection
Keri Russell in Altuzarra
Hannah Davis in J Mendell
Zoe Kravitz in Alexander Wang
Kate Hudson in Michael Kors
Kendall Jenner in Calvin Kelin Collection
Rose Huntington-Whiteley in Atelier Versace
Amal Clooney in John Galliano for Maison  Margiela
Imogen Poots in Alberta Ferretti
Gigi Hadid in DVF

Honorable Mention

Okay, so I cheated a little. I couldn't let these AMAZING looks go unmentioned. I know these are technically "honorable mentions" but they're just as good as my picks for best dressed in my opinion.

From left to right:
Cara Delevingne in Stella McCartney
Kim Kardashian West in Roberto Cavalli
Emily Blunt in Prada
Bee Shaffer in Alexander McQueen
Caroline Trentini in Atelier Versace
Joan Smalls in Roberto Cavalli
Lily Aldrige in Carolina Herrera
Carey Mulligan in Balenciaga
Claire Danes in Valentino
Beyoncé in Givenchy

Worst Dressed

While the good was good, the bad was bad. A few celebrities decided to take the Chinese theme a little too seriously, and were borderline offensive. Nothing is worse than a beautiful woman trying too hard (I'm talking to you Kris Jenner). I chose these outfits as the worst because they were either age inappropriate ( Dylan Hilfiger), ill-fitting (Katie Holmes), or just plain ugly. The pictures speak for themselves.

From left to right:
Dylan Lauren in Ralph Lauren
Miley Cyrus in Alexander Wang
Jennifer Connelly in Louis Vuitton
Adriana Lima in Marc Jacobs
Kris Jenner in Balmain
Chloë Sevigny in J.W. Anderson
Solange Knowles in Giles Resign
Katie Holmes in Zac Posen
Karolina Kurkova in Tommy Hilfiger
Grace Codington in pajamas
Linda Evangelista in Moschino
Grimes in Louis Vuitton
Julie Macklowe
Anne Hathaway in Ralph Lauren

My Shopping Philosophy | Being a Fashionista on a Budget

When it comes to shopping it can be difficult to decide how to spend your money most efficiently. Especially walking into any big department store, the choices can be overwhelming. I've gotten asked a lot, what my 'shopping philosophy' is, and that's what I'm going to share with you today. My motto is, 'I don't mind spending money, I mind wasting it,' and trust me, there is a difference. There are certain items worth the splurge, and some that aren't, but figuring out which is which can be tough. It's crucial to realize that you don't need to sacrifice quality or style to save a few dollars.

Breaking it Down

If you're anything like me, it can be hard to control yourself when shopping, especially when you feel like you need everything. Realizing that there is nothing wrong with treating yourself will help in the process. If you've been coveting an item, and you've thought about it for a while, don't feel guilty spending money on it. That being said, make sure it's worth it. A few questions I ask myself before any big ticket purchases are; Will I have this forever? Will I love this forever? Can I get something of the same quality for cheaper?
The number one thing I stick to, is not letting myself pay for a name on a label. Of course designer brands are wonderful, but when it comes to certain items their quality is no better than their non-designer counterparts. We no longer live in a world where quality is unattainable on a budget. I decided to separate the things I believe you should splurge on and things you should save on into two lists.
❤ ❤ ❤

Splurge

  • Jeans - Good quality denim will save you money in the long run, because it more often than not lasts longer. Get yourself 1 or 2 good pairs of jeans instead of 4 inexpensive pairs. Remember; quality, not quantity in this case.
  • Shoes - This could go either way, there are certain shoes you don't need to splurge on (sandals, sneakers, heels) but I think it's important to have one really good pair of boots if you live up North like I do. Cold months make up most of the year, and by investing in a pair that are good quality, you won't need to replace them every season.
  • Skincare - There are some skincare items you definitely don't need to drop big bucks on; toner, exfoliant, or masks, but I think investing in a good moisturizer is essential. Skin isn't like hair, you can't just cut it off when it gets damaged. And because of that, it's extra important to take good care of it from a young age. Moisturizing can make the world of a difference in giving your skin a youthful and healthy glow. I live and die by the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+.
  • Handbags - I was torn between whether or not to put this in the splurge or save category, but it ended up being a splurge. I don't think its necessary to have 10 designer handbags, but I do think there is something to be said for having one classic designer piece that you'll have for a lifetime. For trendy seasonal bags, save your money and shop at places like Forever21 or Asos, but treat yourself to a good timeless piece, in a style and color you know you can get use out of regularly.

Save

  • Basic Tees - I don't think there is absolutely any reason to spend $50 on a white t-shirt, regardless of if you're on a budget or not. Basics like v-necks and long sleeved shirts get worn out so easily, don't feel bad about replacing them every year. Place like Gap and Old Navy are my go-to stores for these essentials because they are both affordable and good quality.
  • Makeup - Drugstores are filled with amazing products, and the selection isn't what it was 5 years ago. There are tons great quality items for reasonable prices. Of course you can still buy brand name products from places like Sephora, but don't feel like you need to live beyond your means and restrict yourself to only high-end products. In my opinion, Ulta gives girls on a budget the best selection, combining drugstore and high-end under one roof.
  • Shorts - This may seem random, but because it is summer, and distressed jean shorts are super in, I thought I should add this one to the list. Save your money on these, and make them yourself. Go to a thrift store or second hand store, or even use a pair of old jeans you just aren't into anymore and cut and distress them yourself. It's a lot easier than it looks, and a lot cheaper then spending hundreds of dollars on a trendy seasonal item. I'll be putting up an entire DIY post on making your own shorts soon, so if you're interested keep an eye out!
  • Workout Gear - Now, don't get me wrong, I love Lululemon just as much as the next girl, but spending $98 on a pair of cropped workout pants isn't realistic for everyone. And for those of you who still want to look cute while getting your sweat on, there are plenty of affordable brands out there that will let you do just that. Kate Hudson's line, Fabletics, offers style and quality without burring a whole in your wallet. Athleta is another good option for those of you looking to save money without sacrificing style.
Ultimately, where you splurge and where you save is completely up to you, there really isn't a 'right' or 'wrong.' If you can afford to buy high-end products all around that's great, and if you can't that's fine too. Either way, don't feel bad. There is quality and style available for anyone on any budget. Remember, it's what makes you comfortable that's most important. What are your 'splurge' and 'save' items?

Fashion Rundown | 2014 Oscars

It has been way to long since I've last blogged and I am so sorry! As most of you know I am a full time student, and things have just been super hectic with exams and papers so I needed to take a little time off, but, I am back. From now on I'm going to be posting on Mondays and Fridays just because I think that's what is going to work best with my schedule.

With that being said, let's just jump right in to the AMAZING, and not so amazing fashion we saw last night at the Oscars. I was presently surprised to see the majority of the stars looking so gorgeous. I'm going to be giving you my picks for best & worst dressed of the night, and while the good were to die for, the bad, were just simply awful.

BEST DRESSED

Women

1. Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson wore Versace and literally made me emotional walking the red carpet. She looked so drop dead gorgeous it should be a crime. I loved every single thing about this look - her hair was perfect, the shall was phenomenal, make-up was to die for, accessorize were done superbly - I just can't even handle how flawless she is. I even want to go as a far as to say that this is one of my favorite, if not my favorite Oscars look EVER. #KateTheGreat

2. Lupita Nyong'o

Lupita Nyong'o wore custom Prada and of course looked like a goddess. This entire award season Lupita has been on point and every single one of her looks have been amazing. She has truly made a huge splash, not only in the film world, but the fashion world as well. Her skin tone is just so gorgeous she could wear any color and look to die for. I loved that she went for a softer look with the Robin's egg blue - it was so flattering and really appropriate because it gave her the opportunity to truly have her Cinderella moment. The accessories were also flawless. The headband was a perfect touch, and surprisingly age appropriate. Once again, Lupita killed it. She can do no wrong.

3. Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence wore Christian Dior haute couture dress, and being the face of the brand, no one was surprised by that. When I saw this I think I almost died. Putting aside the fact that I'm just so obsessed with her as a person, she looked so amazing it didn't even seem real. She wore red to the 2012 Oscars, and a lot of fashion critiques said she shouldn't have repeated but I completely disagree. I think the gowns are so different they can't even be compared. I love the fact she brought back the 'exit necklace' from last year.  And her hair was also amazing - all in all, just another fashion win for J-law.

4. Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett wore Armani Privé and looked flawless as usual. This woman could wear a trash bag and be voted best dressed. Beading was a big trend on the red carpet this year, but I have to say, Cate is the only one who got it right. From hair and make-up to accessories, she nailed it on all fronts. The nude was the perfect shade and didn't wash her out at all. Every time we see Cate I feel like she looks younger and younger. I have no idea what she's eating or drinking, but whatever it is, I need to get my hands on some. This dress was truly gorgeous and perfect for her to take home the Oscar for best actress in.

5. Charlize Theron

Charlize also wore a Christian Dior haute couture dress. Usually I would not pick someone who wore black to be on my best dressed list for the Oscars, just because it really doesn't pop or stand out - but - seeing this made me want to take back every time I had ever said that. Charlize looked beyond gorgeous. The detailing on the bottom of the gown was amazing, and the nude straps gave it that little oomph. What I love most isn't just the way the dress fit and looked on her, but the way she was accessorized. She completely killed it. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Men

Because the guys just don't get enough love on the red carpet <3

1. Jared Leto

Jared Leto in St. Laurent - words do not even describe how flawless he is. First of all, can we talk about the fact that he is 42?!?! When I heard that last night, I was beyond shocked. He looks like he's barely 30.  I am such a huge fan of his fashion sense, and I think he's one of the few men who isn't afraid of taking risks when it comes to what he wears. The cream jacket was a HUGE trend this year and I just absolutely love that he went for it. Not only was his outfit amazing, I was having major hair envy when it comes to his perfectly ombré locks. I love that he went for a crisp red bow tie instead of black and paired it with the handkerchief in his jacket pocket. Absolutely amazing.

2. Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth wore a David August tux, as is without a doubt one of the biggest hunks in Hollywood. However, he isn't particularly known for his fashion sense. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how amazing he looked last night. With a face like that its hard to ever look bad, but I really thought the burgundy jacket and vest, made the look unique - something that can be pretty hard to do when wearing a tux. Unfortunately, it seems that his wife doesn't have the same stylist, because she looked a little less that amazing in Elie Saab.

3. Michael B. Jordan

Michael B. Jordan wore a Givenchy tux, paired with AMAZING gold-plated Givenchy shoes. While he hasn't really been in the spot light for that long, I think its so great that he looked so impeccably dressed last night. He was another one of the boys who wasn't afraid to break that traditional black and white tux look and go for something a little more fashion forward and edgy. I loved the shoes, and I especially loved the stars he had pined on the collar of his shirt. Love it all.

4. Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey was another man who was dressed to the nine. Wearing Dolce & Gabbana he went with the cream jacket trend, and nailed it. Unlike Leto, he kept it a little more classic, which I think was a good choice because he did after all win the Oscar for best actor. With his drop dead gorgeous wife as arm candy, he did it all right. Also, incase you didn't see how much of a MILF his mom is, go goggle what she looked like last night because you will die

Honorable Mention:

Kristen Bell

Kristen looked so cute in Roberto Cavalli and was totally channeling her inner 'Frozen' Princess. Really liked this look <3

P!NK

During her tribute to the Wizard of Oz, P!NK looked amazing. Such an appropriate dress for the occasion. She was like a little ruby slipper - loved it.

WORST DRESSED

1. Whoppi Goldberg

There are no words to even describe this atrocity. I don't know what the issue is that Whoppi has with getting dressed but she really needs to either hire a stylist or fire the one she currently has. With the resources available to her looking like this at the OSCARS is unacceptable. She was definitely trying to go for the look Julia Roberts did at the Golden Globes, but it just wasn't working for her. First of all, that shirt looked like it had yellowed from being so old, and the fit did her no favors. The look was disheveled and unorganized. She was trying to be Julia, Dorothy, and Madonna, all in one outfit and it DID NOT WORK.

2. Giulianna Rancic

This one really saddens me because I usually like the things I see Giulianna in. She decided to wear Paolo Sebastian Couture and looked more like she was auditioning for the adult version of Toddlers&Tiaras rather than going to the Oscars. I think the dress in itself was awful - the tool was was too over powering for a woman of such a small frame, the detailing on top looked ill-fitting, and the color washed her out completely. I also think that her hair and make-up added to my negative feelings towards this look. The tight slicked back bun made her face looked oddly shaped and that awful nude lip made her look sick. Sorry G, better luck next time.

3. Viola Davis

Viola Davis in Escada, was very lack-luster. I thought the color was okay, but the cut was really unflattering. Her shoulders looked even broader that usual, and the folding of the satin over her belly made her look with child. I really hated the hair and the accessories. It looked like she was wearing hand cuffs instead of the diamonds, and I think the Gatsby inspire finger curls aged her. The drop waist was a poor choice in my opinion for a woman of her body type. I think it made her look boxy and disproportional. Overall I was definitely not a fan.

4. Penelope Cruz

Penelope girl, why? She wore Giambattista Valli Couture, and I was really disappointed with this. She looks like she's wearing bed sheets draped around her body. As one of the most beautiful women in the world, it was such a shame she did this to herself. Her body was completely overpowered by the amount of excess fabric on her, and it made her look like she was another star who was expecting. Definitely a poor choice, hopefully next year she makes a comeback. I believe in you P.

5. Liza Menelli

Where do I even start with this hot mess. Liza Menelli followed in Penelope Cruz's footsteps apparently, going for the 'bedroom couture' look. However, she just decided to just wear her silk pajamas to the Oscars. Like really Liza? Really? With the amount of money this woman has, she could have hired someone to make her look amazing. But instead, she looked messy, and it was completely inappropriate for her age. The blue stripe in her had and those earrings, paired with her orthopedic shoes were just so wrong, it pained me to look at her.

6. Pharrell Williams

If there was ever a time to wear  tux Pharrell, this was it. The Oscars are not the appropriate event to get creative with your LANVIN tux and go for capris instead. I thought he looked really poorly styled, and his date was just as bad. For someone with such a interesting style, this was very disappointing. He tried to push the envelope too much, and it just wasn't happening. The black tux is a classic look for a reason Pharrell.
